Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Make sure the butter is fully melted.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Consider adding a sprinkle of cinnamon to the sugar for a spicy twist.
  • 1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits You can also use frozen biscuits, just thaw them first.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a baking dish or pie plate.
  2. Separate the biscuits and cut each one into quarters.
Assembly
  1. Dip each biscuit piece into the melted butter.
  2. Roll each buttered piece in the granulated sugar until coated.
  3. Arrange the pieces close together in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Pour any remaining butter over the top and sprinkle with any remaining sugar.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until deeply golden and the butter and sugar are bubbling around the edges.
  2. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm straight from the oven. They are delicious on their own but can also be enjoyed with a drizzle of honey or a side of fruit preserves. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerate for up to a week.
