Ingredients

Filling Ingredients
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage Cooked until browned
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened To be melted and combined with sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For flavor and creaminess
Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough To wrap the filling

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until fully browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the softened cream cheese until melted and combined with the sausage.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until the filling is creamy and evenly mixed. Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly.
Assembly
  1. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  2. Spoon a small amount of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  3. Roll up each crescent, starting at the wide end and tucking in the filling as you go.
  4. Place them on the prepared baking sheet with a little space between each one.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescents are puffed and golden brown.
