Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage Can substitute with turkey sausage for a healthier option.
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese Substitute with pepper jack or mozzarella for different flavors.
  • 1/4 cup milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a rimmed baking sheet or shallow pan with foil or parchment.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork sausage, biscuit mix, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk.
  3. Mix with clean hands or a sturdy spoon until everything is evenly incorporated and holds together.
  4. Scoop and roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch across, and place them on the prepared pan with a little space between each one.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until browned on the outside and cooked through in the center.
  2. Let them cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a foil-lined serving platter and serve warm with toothpicks.

Notes

Best served warm. Pairs well with dipping sauces such as ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, or honey mustard. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10-15 minutes.
