Preparation
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup, then lightly coat the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
- Soak the wooden skewers in water for 20–30 minutes.
- Cut the beef into even 1-inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the low-sodium soy sauce and honey until smooth.
- Add the beef cubes to the bowl and toss until well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) with an oven rack in the upper third.
- Thread marinated beef cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving space between pieces. Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet and spoon any extra marinade over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, flip each skewer, then bake for another 5–8 minutes until cooked to your liking.
- For charred edges, switch to broil for 1–3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
- Let the kabobs rest on the pan for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve alongside rice or vegetables, or with a fresh salad for a lighter meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
