Ingredients

Dough and Fillings
  • 1 package Refrigerated Biscuit Dough
  • 12 slices Deli Ham (thinly sliced honey ham or smoked ham)
  • 12 slices Swiss Cheese (or provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar)
Toppings and Seasonings
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard (optional) For added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy Seeds (optional) For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Separate the refrigerated biscuits and gently flatten each into a 3–4 inch round.
  3. Place a slice of Swiss cheese and folded deli ham in the center of each round. If using Dijon mustard, spread a thin layer on the biscuit before adding the ham.
  4. Fold the biscuit dough around the filling and pinch the edges to seal, placing them seam-side down in the baking dish.
Baking
  1. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and poppy seeds in a small bowl; brush over the tops of the biscuits.
  2. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a nice shine, brush the tops of the biscuits with more melted butter after baking. Experiment with different cheeses and meats for your favorite combination. Add fillings like sautéed onions or bell peppers for extra flavor.
