Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a dark metal baking pan.
- Arrange the raw boneless skinless chicken breasts in a single layer in the pan.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the dry onion soup mix, sour cream, chicken broth, and paprika until smooth and well combined.
- Spoon the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts, covering the tops as much as possible.
Cooking
- Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce is bubbly around the edges.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving, then spoon some of the pan sauce over each portion.
Notes
For additional flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours before baking. You can mix in some grated cheese into the sauce for a cheesy twist. If you like a bit of spice, add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the mixture. Once cooled, store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place it in the oven or microwave until warmed through. This dish can be frozen for up to 2 months.
