Preparation
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Drain excess grease from the beef.
- Transfer the cooked beef to a slow cooker and add cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and onion soup mix.
- Stir everything together until combined.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
- Stir the gravy before serving; adjust consistency if needed.
Notes
For a thicker gravy, you can add a bit of cornstarch mixed with water during the last hour of cooking. Experiment with adding vegetables such as mushrooms or peas for extra flavor and nutrition. If you want a little kick, try adding some black pepper or garlic powder. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
