For the tea base
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 bags black tea bags
For the fruit
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
For sweetness
  • 1/4 cup honey or sugar (optional, to taste)

  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  3. While the tea is steeping, wash and slice the strawberries, orange, and lemon.
  4. Remove the tea bags and stir in honey or sugar, if using, until dissolved.
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  6. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea with the sliced strawberries, orange, and lemon.
  7. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving
  1. Serve the tea over ice cubes in glass jars or cups and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

To enhance the tea's flavor, you can add fresh herbs like basil or lemon balm. Adjust sweetness based on preference. Best served in clear glasses to showcase vibrant colors.
