Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a glass casserole dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until fully browned, breaking it into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
- Sprinkle a little cheese and a spoonful of cooked sausage onto the wide end of each triangle, then roll them up toward the pointed end.
- Arrange the bites seam-side down in the prepared dish or on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
Baking
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is puffed and deeply golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving so the filling can settle slightly and the bites are easier to handle.
Notes
These bites are best served warm. Enjoy them on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch dressing, honey mustard, or hot sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated as needed.
