Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage Use high-quality sausage for best flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1 tube refrigerated flaky biscuits (8-count) Cut into small pieces before mixing.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a glass casserole dish or baking pan.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess grease and let it cool for a few minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and biscuit pieces. Stir gently until the biscuit dough is evenly distributed and coated.
  4. Drop or spread the mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish, making small bite-sized mounds or an even layer with space between pieces.
Baking
  1. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is cooked through and the tops are puffed, crisp, and deep golden brown.
  2. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm, with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, ranch, or hot sauce. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for a month. Customize with vegetables or different sausage types for varied flavor.
