Ingredients
  

  • 3 to 4 pound chuck roast
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Brown the Beef
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chuck roast for 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned.
  3. Step 2: Prepare the Slow Cooker
  4. Place sliced onions and mushrooms into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Step 3: Add Ingredients
  6. Place the roast on top of the vegetables. Add garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, salt, and pepper.
  7. Step 4: Slow Cook
  8. Cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or HIGH for 5 to 6 hours until the beef becomes tender and easy to shred.
  9. Step 5: Serve
  10. Spoon the rich onion mushroom gravy over the beef. Garnish with parsley and serve warm
