  • Pork Chops
  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Vegetables
  • 1 bag baby carrots
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Slurry
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method
 

  1. Step 1
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Step 2
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 2 minutes per side until golden brown.

  6. Place baby carrots in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add butter over the carrots.

  8. Place pork chops on top of the carrots.

  10. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, smoked paprika, and onion powder.

  12. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the pork chops and carrots.

  14. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.

  16. Mix cornstarch and water together in a small bowl.

  18. Remove pork chops briefly and stir the slurry into the sauce. Cook on HIGH for another 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  20. Serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, or dinner rolls.
