Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to customize with different cheeses.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped For garnish and flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix over the chicken.
  3. Add the cream cheese on top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Shred the chicken in the slow cooker and mix in the cream cheese until combined.
  6. Stir in bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions.
Serving
  1. Serve on toasted buns, over rice, or in lettuce wraps. Optionally, sprinkle extra green onions or bacon on top before serving.
Storage
  1. Let chicken cool to room temperature and transfer to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months, thawing overnight in the fridge before reheating.

Notes

For extra flavor, add garlic powder or a splash of hot sauce. For a thicker mixture, reduce the amount of cream cheese or add more chicken.
