Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole pork tenderloin, about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds Use a fresh tenderloin for the best texture.
  • 1 ounce packet dry onion soup mix Adds savory flavor.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Can substitute with vegetable broth for a lighter version.
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing Can substitute with blue cheese or Italian dressing for a twist.

Method

Preparation
  1. Lightly coat the slow cooker insert with nonstick spray for easier cleanup.
  2. Place the whole pork tenderloin in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the pork.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and spoon the ranch dressing over the top.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, or until the pork is very tender and reaches a safe internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. For the most fall-apart texture, allow it to cook until it is easy to pull apart with a fork.
Serving
  1. Transfer the pork to a plate or cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Slice into thick pieces or shred into large chunks, then spoon some of the juices from the slow cooker over the top before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For more flavor, try adding garlic or herbs like rosemary or thyme. For a bit of spiciness, add crushed red pepper to the sauce. Serve with a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
