Preparation
- Pat the country style pork ribs dry and trim off any excess fat.
- Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray or use a liner for easy cleanup.
- In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce and brown sugar. Mix well until blended.
- Pour a layer of the sauce mixture at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Arrange the ribs on top of the sauce.
- Pour the remaining sauce over the ribs, ensuring they are fully coated.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours, or on HIGH for 3.5-4 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- Preheat the oven broiler.
- Once the ribs are done, transfer them to foil-lined trays.
- Coat the ribs with additional sauce and broil for 3-5 minutes until the edges are charred.
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, then serve hot with extra barbecue sauce.
Notes
For more flavor, marinate the ribs in the sauce overnight. You can add spices like garlic powder or onion powder for an extra kick. If a thicker glaze is preferred, cook on HIGH for the last 30 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
