  • 2 pieces apples, cored and sliced Consider using a mix of different apple varieties for complex flavors.
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation
  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker if desired.
  2. Spread the sliced apples across the bottom of the cooker.
  3. Place the pork chops on top of the apples in an even layer.
  4. Spoon the apple pie filling over the pork chops.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly over the top.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the pork is tender and cooked through.
  2. Spoon some of the warm apples and sauce over each pork chop before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the pork chops overnight. You can add onions or nuts for texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat before serving.
