Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cans 29-ounce cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained Use peaches in heavy syrup for moisture.
  • 1 box 15.25-ounce box yellow cake mix (dry mix only) Only use the dry cake mix.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted One stick of butter, melted.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Optional but recommended.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Lightly grease the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or a thin layer of butter.
  2. Pour both cans of sliced peaches with all their syrup into the bottom of the slow cooker and spread them out evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches without stirring.
  4. In a small bowl, stir the ground cinnamon into the melted butter, then drizzle the mixture over the dry cake mix.
Cooking
  1. Cover the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 2.5–3 hours or on LOW for 4–5 hours.
  2. After cooking, let it sit uncovered for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or warm oven before serving. You can substitute peaches with other fruits like cherries or blueberries, adjusting the cooking time accordingly.
