Preparation
- Lightly grease the slow cooker crock if desired for easier cleanup.
- Add the dry pasta, pasta sauce, and beef or tomato juice into the slow cooker.
- Stir well to coat the pasta evenly and ensure the noodles are mostly submerged in the liquid.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. Stir once or twice if your slow cooker runs hot.
- Cook until the pasta is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid into a glossy sauce.
- Turn off the heat and let the pasta stand uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes to thicken slightly.
Serving
- Stir and serve hot, optionally garnished with freshly grated cheese or fresh herbs.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding a splash of water or extra sauce if needed.
