Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line with foil.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rotini until just al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the sloppy joe sauce into the cooked ground beef and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, mixing in half of the shredded cheese until evenly coated.
Baking
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve hot from the oven, ideally paired with a side salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days in the fridge, or freeze for longer storage.
