  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Adjust spice level according to your preference.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to mix different cheeses for a varied flavor.
  • 8 medium flour tortillas Can substitute with corn tortillas for a gluten-free option.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Break it up as it cooks.
  3. Drain excess grease and stir in taco seasoning until the meat is evenly coated.
  4. Lay 4 tortillas on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Divide seasoned beef evenly over the tortillas and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Place the remaining tortillas over each to form 4 quesadillas.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then carefully flip the quesadillas and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until golden and cheese is melted.
  2. Remove from the oven and let them rest for 2 minutes before cutting into wedges.

Notes

Serve with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
