  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch glass casserole dish.
  2. Spread the beef evenly in the prepared casserole dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the dry onion soup mix, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth until smooth.
  4. Pour the soup mixture over the beef, ensuring all pieces are coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until the beef is very tender.
  2. Remove the foil for the last 20 minutes for extra browning.
Serving
  1. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or garlic powder to the soup mixture. Different cuts of beef may be used but should be suitable for slow cooking. You can substitute with other condensed soups for various flavors.
