Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 2 pieces refrigerated flatbreads or naan-style crusts Homemade flatbreads can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Other cheese varieties like cheddar can be substituted.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or other green herbs Feel free to add any toppings you like.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Break it up with a spoon until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Divide the cooked beef evenly over the flatbreads, spreading it out from edge to edge.
  2. Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the beef, ensuring the surface is well covered.
  3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the flatbread edges are crisp and golden.
  4. Remove from the oven, scatter the chopped fresh herbs over the top, let cool for 2 to 3 minutes, then slice into squares or strips and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or vegetable sticks. Offer a variety of dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or garlic sauce for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
