Ingredients

Noodle Base
  • 12 ounces uncooked egg noodles
Gravy Mix
  • 2 packets brown gravy mix
Liquid Base
  • 4 cups beef broth
Butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, sliced Provides richness to the dish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the uncooked egg noodles evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the brown gravy mix evenly over the top, then pour in the beef broth.
  4. Dot the surface with slices of butter.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil, stir the noodles well so they cook evenly, then cover again and bake for 20 to 25 minutes more, or until the noodles are tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  3. Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving so the gravy can thicken slightly.
  4. Stir once more and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place the noodles in a microwave-safe dish and heat until warmed through. Adjust seasoning with herbs or spices as desired.
