Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough, 8-count, 8 ounces Make sure it's fresh and easy to unroll.
  • 8 ounces deli roast beef, thinly sliced Any brand of deli roast beef can work.
  • 6 ounces fontina cheese, shredded or cut into small strips Substitute with other cheeses if necessary.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a standard 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 16 smaller pieces.
  4. Gently press each piece into a muffin cup to form a small shell.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Divide the roast beef evenly among the dough cups, folding the slices so they fit neatly without packing them too tightly.
  2. Top each cup with fontina cheese, tucking a little into the center to melt into the beef as the cups bake.
  3. Bake for 11 to 14 minutes, or until the crescent dough is puffed and deep golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  4. Let the cups cool in the pan for 3 to 5 minutes before loosening them with a small offset spatula or butter knife.
  5. Arrange on a serving plate and serve warm.

Notes

These cups can be served warm with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoyed on their own. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
