Orange Glazed Roasted Chicken Thighs

Ingredients
  

  • 8 bone -in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons hone y
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season thoroughly with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine orange juice, honey, garlic, soy sauce, and ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Simmer the sauce for 10 to 12 minutes until reduced by half to a syrupy consistency.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Place chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet and sear for 5 to 6 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.
  7. Flip the chicken thighs and brush the skin side generously with the orange glaze reduction.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 25 to 30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  9. Baste with remaining glaze every 10 minutes during the roasting process.
  10. Remove from oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with orange zest and serving.
