Main Ingredients
  • 8 cups stale bread, cubed Any type of stale bread can be used, like white, whole wheat, or brioche.
  • 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
  • 3/4 cup caramel sauce, plus more for serving Adjust according to sweetness preference.
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Can be substituted with coconut cream for dairy-free.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
  2. Spread the cubed stale bread evenly in the prepared dish.
  3. Spoon the apple pie filling over the bread, ensuring to distribute the apples and sauce evenly.
  4. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top, then pour the heavy cream evenly across the dish for absorption.
  5. Gently press down with the back of a spoon and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb the liquid.
Baking
  1. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until puffed, golden, and bubbling around the edges.
  2. Let the bread pudding cool for about 10 minutes before serving, then drizzle with extra caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. To store leftovers, place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 days. Reheat before serving.
