Lemon Butter Baked Cod

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs cod fillets, cut into 4 portions
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon sal t
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprik a
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon , sliced into rounds

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat cod fillets dry using paper towels and arrange in a single layer in a lightly greased baking dish.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and paprika.
  4. Drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the cod fillets.
  5. Place lemon slices on top of each fillet.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley.
