Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and prepare a large rimmed baking sheet, preferably with a wire rack.
  2. Pat the chicken wings thoroughly dry. Season them with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
  2. Meanwhile, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, butter, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  3. Toss the baked wings with most of the honey glaze, coating them well.
  4. Return the wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until they are sticky and caramelized.
  5. Let the wings rest for a few minutes, then serve them warm.

Notes

Make sure to dry the chicken wings before seasoning for better crispiness. Feel free to adjust the honey and soy sauce ratio according to your taste preference. Use a wire rack on the baking sheet to allow grease to drip away, keeping the wings crispy.
