Garlic Herb Butter Shrimp with Lemon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Method
 

  1. Dry the shrimp thoroughly with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until foaming.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1 minute until aromatic.
  4. Place shrimp in the skillet in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque.
  5. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, and oregano to the pan.
  6. Toss shrimp to coat thoroughly in the butter emulsion and remove from heat immediately.
