Ingredients

  • 2 14 oz packs lil smokies sausages
  • 1 lb baby potatoes halved
  • 2 cups green beans fresh or frozen
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for a little kick

Method

  1. Step 1: Prep the Ingredients
  2. Wash and cut the baby potatoes in halves. Trim the green beans if needed. Honestly, this takes like 5–10 minutes tops.
  3. Step 2: Load the Crockpot
  4. Add the following into your crockpot:
  5. lil smokies
  6. potatoes
  7. green beans
  8. minced garlic
  9. Spread everything out a bit so it cooks evenly.
  10. Step 3: Make the Sauce
  11. In a small bowl, mix:
  12. brown sugar
  13. soy sauce
  14. BBQ sauce
  15. olive oil
  16. black pepper
  17. Stir until it looks smooth and slightly thick.
  18. Step 4: Pour and Coat
  19. Pour the sauce over everything in the crockpot.
  20. Give it a gentle stir so all the ingredients get coated — this is where the magic starts, not gonna lie.
  21. Step 5: Cook
  22. Cover and cook:
  23. On LOW for 6–7 hours
  24. Or HIGH for 3–4 hours
  25. The potatoes should be tender and the sausages nice and glossy.
  26. Step 6: Final Stir and Serve
  27. Give everything one last stir before serving. Scoop it up while it’s hot and saucy — that’s when it’s at its best.
