Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in 1 cup of the cheddar cheese and 3/4 cup of the Monterey Jack cheese until evenly combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden around the edges.
Serving
  1. Let it cool for 2 to 3 minutes, then serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, toasted bread, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding spices like garlic powder or crushed red pepper. You can add cooked bacon bits or chopped green onions for variation.
