Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough, 8-count
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cold and cut into 8 cubes Chilling the cream cheese helps maintain its shape during baking.
  • 8 slices deli ham, turkey, or smoked sausage pieces, cut to fit the dough Can substitute with other meats or even roasted red peppers, pesto, or jam for a variation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the crescent dough into triangles.
  3. Place a piece of ham or savory filling on the wide end of each triangle, then set a cube of cream cheese on top.
  4. Roll each triangle up around the filling, pinching the seams and tucking in the sides so the cream cheese is enclosed.
  5. Arrange the bites seam-side down on the prepared pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until puffed and deep golden brown with crisp edges.
  2. Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving, allowing the filling to set slightly.

Notes

Serve warm; can be enjoyed on their own or with dipping sauces like ranch or spicy mustard. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven for crispiness.
