Cheese Ball Mixture
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz dried chipped beef, finely chopped Can be substituted with other dried meats.
  • 2 each green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
Coating
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley For coating the cheese ball.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  2. Mix in the shredded cheddar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Stir in the chopped chipped beef and green onions until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Using clean hands or a spatula, form the mixture into a compact ball.
  5. Spread the chopped parsley on a plate and gently roll the cheese ball in it until completely coated.
  6. Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  7. Let it sit at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

The cheese ball is best served with crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetables. You can store any leftover cheese ball in the refrigerator wrapped in plastic wrap for up to a week. For variations, consider adding chopped jalapeƱos for heat or using different herbs like dill or chives.
