Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Layering
- Place one tortilla in the bottom of the prepared dish. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over it, then add some ham and shredded cheddar.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining tortillas, ham, cheese, and cream cheese mixture, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.
Baking
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the edges of the tortillas are lightly golden.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before cutting. Slice into small squares and garnish with green onions or parsley if desired.
Notes
These squares can be served warm or at room temperature. They make great appetizers cut into small squares, or you can serve them as a main dish alongside a simple salad. Adding some salsa or guacamole on the side can make them even more enjoyable. You can prepare them ahead of time and refrigerate before baking.
