Cheesy Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 small onion , finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp sal t
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into small crumbles.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the beef and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the taco seasoning, salt, and pepper, then cook for 1 minute to bloom the spices.
  5. Lay the tortillas on a flat surface and distribute the beef mixture evenly among them.
  6. Sprinkle 0.5 cup of shredded cheese over the beef on each tortilla.
  7. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll tightly to form a wrap.
  8. Wipe the skillet clean and add vegetable oil over medium heat.
  9. Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and sear for 2 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from heat and serve warm.
