Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a large baking sheet.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is thoroughly browned and onion is translucent.
Drain excess fat from the skillet and stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Separate the refrigerated dough into 8 biscuits and flatten each into a 5-inch diameter circle using a rolling pin or hands.
Place approximately 3 tablespoons of the beef mixture and 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese in the center of each dough circle.
Bring the edges of the dough together over the filling and pinch firmly to seal the seam.
Arrange the stuffed biscuits seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter and sprinkle with dried parsley.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
