Cheesy Beef Nacho Bake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 oz taco seasoning packet
  • 1/2 cup wate r
  • 8 oz salted tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeño slices
  • 1/2 cup diced Roma tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef; simmer for 5 minutes until the liquid reduces.
  4. Spread tortilla chips in an even layer across a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  5. Distribute the seasoned beef and black beans over the chips.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  8. Garnish with jalapeños, diced tomatoes, green onions, and sour cream before serving.
