Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the softened butter and shredded cheddar cheese together until they are well combined.
- Slowly add the self-rising flour to the mixture to form a soft dough.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip, or you can roll small portions into ropes by hand.
- Pipe 4 to 5-inch strips onto the prepared baking sheets, making sure to leave some space between them.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are puffed, lightly browned, and crisp around the edges.
- Allow them to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a rack to cool completely.
Notes
