Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Plus extra for serving
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Take a small amount of the beef mixture and flatten it in your hand.
  4. Place a small piece of cheddar cheese and a spoonful of BBQ sauce in the center, then wrap the beef around the filling to form a ball.
  5. Wrap each ball in a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the meat is cooked through.

Notes

These bacon bombs are best served hot with extra BBQ sauce for dipping. Adjust the BBQ sauce and cheese amounts to your taste. For additional flavor, add chopped jalapeños inside the beef mixture.
