Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 count)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Other cheese options like pepper jack or mozzarella can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup Add additional spices for flavor if desired.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with foil for easier cleanup.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and crumbly. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir the ketchup into the cooked beef, coating it lightly.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
Assembly
  1. On 4 of the triangles, divide the beef mixture evenly, then top each with shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Place the remaining 4 dough triangles on top to create stacks, pressing the edges gently to hold the filling in place.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and deep golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm as a main dish or a finger food at parties. Consider pairing with dipping sauces like barbecue sauce or ranch dressing for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
