Ingredients

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing Can substitute with regular mayonnaise or yogurt.
  • 1-1/3 cups mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3 bananas) Use ripe bananas; the peel should be brown and spotty.
Dry Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups flour Can replace with a gluten-free flour blend.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts Feel free to add more nuts like pecans or almonds.
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  2. Blend the mashed bananas with the egg and KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing. Set this mixture aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients: sugar, salt, baking soda, and flour. Stir in the chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the banana mixture and gently stir until just moistened; do not overmix.
  5. Lightly spray a 9×5 loaf pan with cooking spray.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  3. Carefully remove the bread from the pan, slice, and enjoy.

Notes

For serving, consider spreading warm bread with butter. It pairs well with coffee or tea. Can add honey or maple syrup for a sweet twist. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
