Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease an aluminum baking sheet or a shallow baking pan with sides large enough to hold the chicken in a single layer.
- Place the frozen chicken half breasts on the baking sheet.
- Spread the red sauce evenly over the top of the chicken.
- Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix across the chicken and the surrounding sauce.
Baking
- Cover the pan loosely with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, spoon some of the sauce over the chicken, and continue baking for an additional 20 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches 165°F in the thickest part.
Serving
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Spoon the pan sauce over each piece and serve hot with your choice of potatoes, noodles, or vegetables.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in your favorite marinade before baking. Experiment with different sauces, like barbecue or creamy sauce, for a unique twist. Check that your chicken is fully cooked using a meat thermometer for safe dining. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
