Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 bag 19 to 24 ounces frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 jar 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Method

Preparation
  1. Lightly coat the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray if desired.
  2. Pour the frozen cheese tortellini into the bottom of the slow cooker and spread it out into an even layer.
  3. Spoon the marinara sauce evenly over the tortellini.
  4. Scatter the cubed cream cheese across the top.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, until the tortellini is tender and the cream cheese has softened.
  2. Stir gently to combine the sauce and cream cheese into a creamy coating.
  3. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the top, cover again, and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, just until the cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, either as a main dish or a side dish. Pair with a fresh garden salad or garlic bread.

Notes

You can add Italian seasoning or garlic powder to the marinara sauce for more flavor. Mixing in veggies like spinach or bell peppers is a great way to add nutrition and color. For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
