Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 pounds raw boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup peach preserves
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Method

Preparation
  1. Lightly coat the inside of your slow cooker crock with nonstick spray if desired for easier cleanup.
  2. Arrange the raw boneless chicken thighs in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce, peach preserves, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and well combined.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken thighs, turning the pieces if needed so they are evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is very tender and reaches a safe internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Gently shred the chicken slightly with two forks if you like, or leave the thighs whole. Spoon the sauce over the top and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with fluffy rice or noodles and fresh summer vegetables. For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in barbecue sauce beforehand. You can also check the chicken's internal temperature to ensure it's safe to eat. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for three months.
