Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet dry herb seasoning mix (about 1 ounce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half.
  • 4 tablespoons butter For added flavor, consider adding garlic or onions when melting the butter.

Method

Preparation
  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side, until they are lightly golden on the outside.
  3. Once the chicken is browned, sprinkle the dry herb seasoning mix evenly over the chicken.
Cooking
  1. Pour in the heavy cream, reducing the heat to low. Spoon some of the cream over the tops of the chicken.
  2. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened into a silky, pale golden gravy.
  3. Serve the chicken hot, making sure to spoon plenty of the creamy sauce over it.

Notes

The dish can be served with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta. It pairs wonderfully with steamed vegetables or a green salad. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
