Method
Preparation
- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen dinner roll dough balls evenly in the prepared dish.
- Sprinkle the dry cook and serve butterscotch pudding mix evenly over the rolls.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the pudding mix.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over everything.
- Cover loosely with lightly greased plastic wrap, allowing room for the dough to rise.
- Let the rolls rise for 8 to 10 hours, or until puffy, following the dough manufacturer's safe thawing and rising instructions.
- Remove the plastic wrap and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Baking
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown, cooked through, and the caramel is bubbling.
- Let the rolls rest for 5 to 10 minutes so the caramel can thicken slightly.
- Serve warm with the butterscotch caramel sauce spooned over the top.
Notes
Reheat leftover rolls in the microwave or oven for a warm treat. For extra indulgence, top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. You can replace the pudding flavor with chocolate for a different taste, or add cinnamon and chopped apples for an apple pie variation.
