3-Ingredient Crescent Brie Bites

Ingredients
  

For the pastry
  • 1 package Refrigerated crescent roll dough Pre-packaged dough for ease of preparation.
For the filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Make sure it is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 large Egg yolk
  • 1 tsp Orange zest Optional, for added flavor.
For the topping
  • 1 cup Cranberry sauce Alternative flavors can be used.
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar For dusting before serving.
  • 2 tbsp Milk For making a glaze if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth. Stir in orange zest if using.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough into triangles on the baking sheet.
Assembly
  1. Spread about one tablespoon of the cheesecake mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
  2. Add one teaspoon of cranberry sauce over the cream cheese layer.
  3. Roll each triangle toward the pointed tip, tucking the tip underneath to seal.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool for five minutes.
  3. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk before serving warm.

Notes

These bites are best served warm as a snack or appetizer. You can try different toppings, such as jams or fruit preserves.
